New Stele

It has been a while publishing a new piece of work.
The last months I've been busy with my Erotic Landscape project. The seven Bikini-Bridges are finished and can be viewed on Pinterest. This piece is my latest work.

It's made out of chalkstone and has 13cm by 15 cm by size. I got the inspiration from a picture I found on about.me.

A meeting

This is a piece of Marl with two figures meeting eachother. I was inspired by the drawings in The Good News Bible, although the image I used was from another source.

Exhibition at the Steenfabriek in Gilze (NL)

This weekend and the next one 10 sculptures and one installation will be exhibit at the Steenfabriek (7) in Gilze. Together with 10 other artists you can see a variety of art. Hope you'll visit us.

Last month, due to an accident, I started to work with Marl. I found it such a challange that I continued and made several 'Erotic Landscapes'. There are going to be more like them. At least seven.

This week I started working in marl. I worked with it before, but never really saw it as a stone for me. Because I hurt my shoulder and couldn't work with hard stone I desided to give it another chance. And I'm really pleased with it!

About 35 years ago I made a design for a bracelet in silver, which I never made. It consisted of 5 pieces. Now I have this plan to make a series out of it in marl. Below you can see the drawings.

Work in Process

Last week I've been busy with a new sculpture. In this sculptire I've tried to make an abstraction of the female body in which the frontal body and the backside are connected. Now it's time to make it an sculpture. In this video you'll get an impression of what it will look like.
